TOTAL PRICE $59 – includes both sides, DIY kit & express post
There are really only three things you want from your boat registration stickers.
You want them to:
We’ve spent more than 30 years working with boat lettering, so we’ve designed our rego kits around exactly that.
You enter the number.
You choose the look.
We take care of the spacing, alignment and production.
We express post your complete kit to you ready to apply.
For most registered recreational boats in Victoria, the registration characters must be at least 150 mm high, displayed on both sides of the hull forward of the beam, in a colour that contrasts with the hull. Victorian PWC registration characters may be 100 mm high.
We’ll make it easy to select the appropriate size when you order.
Want the complete rules, including positioning and PWC requirements?
Here’s where cheap individual boat letters become a pain.
You stick on the V.
Then the next number looks a little low.
The third one is too close.
And by the time you reach the last character, you’ve somehow created a registration number that looks like it was applied in a two-metre swell.
We do it differently.
Your registration number arrives pre-spaced and perfectly aligned on application tape.
Position the complete number.
Apply it.
Remove the application tape.
Done.

It’s designed for boat owners to install themselves — even if you’ve never applied vinyl lettering before. Boat Names Australia currently backs its kits with installation support and a Ship Shape Guarantee. Boat Names
Fair enough.
Sticking something permanently onto the side of your boat can feel a little nerve-racking the first time.
That’s exactly why we created our:
Ship Shape Guarantee
Install it wrong? No worries—we’ll send you another kit FREE. But honestly, it’s so easy you won’t need it.

You just need to follow the instructions.
We’ll take care of the rest.
A boat sticker doesn’t live an easy life.
It gets:
Sun. Salt. Spray. Heat. Cold. Washing. Scrubbing. More sun.
So simply calling a sticker “waterproof” doesn’t tell you much.
We use premium 3M marine-grade vinyl and our Ocean Proof™ process to produce boat registration numbers designed for long-term marine use. They have sailed around the world several times and been to Antarctica and back without any issues.
That means your rego numbers aren’t just made to survive getting wet.
They’re made for boats in oceans.
The current Boat Names Australia product uses 3M vinyl and is positioned specifically for long-term exposure to Australian UV and marine conditions. Boat Names
You have probably spent a fair bit of money getting your boat looking the way you want it.
Then someone tells you to stick giant registration numbers down both sides of it.
Great.
But they don’t have to ruin the look of the boat.
Choose a colour and lettering style that works with your hull while still providing the contrast required for Victorian registration numbers.
No big clear rectangular background.
No cheap-looking labels.
Just clean-cut lettering designed to look like it belongs there.
Your boat has to wear rego numbers.
It doesn’t have to look worse because of them.
Boat Names Australia has specialised in boat names, graphics and registration numbers since 2003.
More than 70,000 Australian boat owners have used Boat Names Australia, and the website currently displays 341 Google reviews. Boat Names
That matters.
Because there’s a surprising amount that can go wrong with something as simple as a few letters and numbers.
Spacing matters.
Fine points matter.
Vinyl matters.
Contrast matters.
Installation instructions matter.
And when they’re stuck halfway down the side of your boat, every little mistake suddenly becomes rather obvious.
We’ve already made those mistakes, solved those problems and refined the process.
You get the benefit of the expensive experience without having to acquire it yourself.
One for each side of your boat.
Choose the appropriate Victorian registration size for your vessel.
Your complete number stays straight and evenly spaced.
Made for demanding marine conditions.
So your registration numbers work with your boat rather than fighting against it.
One less thing to hunt around the shed for.
Follow along step by step.
Make a genuine installation mistake and we'll replace them FREE.

Because waiting weeks for a couple of registration numbers is ridiculous.
Type in the VIC registration number assigned to your boat.
Pick a combination that looks good against your hull while keeping the lettering clearly visible.
We’ll produce both sides, pre-space the characters and prepare everything for easy application.
Follow our instructions, stand back and admire a registration number that is actually straight.
